Time Clock Systems
HandTrak uses ATS (Accu-Time) Time Clocks  . They come in three configurations; Serial, Network Serial, and Modem. AST Time clocks are designed to work with small to large employee groups.
Serial Clock System
The ATS Series 3000 RS-232 serial clock is designed to be mounted within 100 feet of your computer. This is a single stand-alone configuration. Your employee's will find this clock a snap to use. They only have three buttons to push; Clear, In, and Out. The clock has a LCD display, which confirms their ID Bar-Coded Card read and also gives them an audible tone. This clock has enough memory for up to 300 employees. All DCT clock configurations come with a backup battery that give you the ability to download your clock in case of a power outage and retain your clock data for several hours. Clocks with more RAM (which translates into more scans/employee's) can be ordered for an additional cost.
Network Serial Clock System
The ATS Series 3000 RS-485 can be mounted within 4,000 feet of your computer. This clock can be a stand-alone or daisy-chained together in a series. Your employee's will find this clock a snap to use. They only have three buttons to push; Clear, In, and Out. The clock has a LCD display, which confirms their ID Bar-Coded Card read and also gives them an audible tone. This clock has enough memory for up to 300 employees. If you need multiple clocks, additional hardware is required. All DCT clock configurations come with a backup battery to give you the ability to download your clock in case of a power outage and retain your clock data for several hours. Clocks with more RAM (which translates into more scans\employee's) can be ordered for an additional cost. If you need more than one clock, please call for a quote.
Modem Clock
The ATS Series 3000 232/modem clock is designed for your off-site work locations. You will need a dedicated phone line going directly to the clock. From the HandTrak program, you can call into the clock and download your data. Your employee's will find this clock a snap to use. They only have three buttons to push; Clear, In, and Out. The clock has a LCD display, which confirms their ID Bar-Coded Card read and also gives them an audible tone. This clock unit has enough memory for up to 300 employees. All DCT clock configurations come with a backup battery to give you the ability to download your clock in case of a power outage and retain your clock data for several hours. Clocks with more RAM (which translates into more scans\employee's) can be ordered for an additional cost.
Bar-Coding Portable Systems
The Percon PocketReader is a durable handheld bar code reader, specifically designed to meet the demands of rugged on-the-job-site use. Fast accurate bar code reading with just a swipe of the wand. It comes with an LCD screen to "prompt" users for information input. A numeric keypad also lets users enter quantity amounts. You can even have a printer option , which gives you receipts. You have the choice of either local or remote downloading . Extended battery life with internal backup provides additional data security.
PocketReader Local Download
This option consists of a PocketReader and Serial download cable , which connects to your PC Serial Com Port . Once you have collected your data, you will bring the PocketReader into your office and download it into HandTrak. You can watch this process step-by-step on the LCD screen. Your PC monitor will also display the downloading process into the HandTrak system. Upon a successful download, you can erase the data on your PocketReader and it is ready for tomorrow's information. A PocketReader holds about 4,500 bar-code scans. We recommend you download your information on a daily basis.
PocketReader Remote Download
The remote configuration is a PocketReader, remote download cable, and a US Robotics external modem . We recommend an external 33,600 baud modem (or lower). Data is sent at 9,600 baud, which is the most stable rate for data transfer. The office download phone number is stored in the PocketReader, so with the touch of one key, your office is called and you can watch the download process on the LCD Screen . Upon a successful download, you can erase the data on your PocketReader and it is ready for tomorrow's information. On the PC side, you setup HandTrak to receive a remote download . You can then minimize HandTrak to your windows status bar and continue to work on your system. As PocketReader's are downloaded, a list of serial numbers with appear in your HandTrak download screen. This gives you a quick snap shot of which supervisors have sent their data in. You can then "post" your save down records up to the Daily Work Table and process your data.
PocketReader Printer Option
This option allows you to attach an Extech serial printer to your PocketReader via a custom printer cable . You will have the ability to print a receipt , which will have your company name, date, time, total units and dollar amount per unit. You can print single or dual receipts. If you ever have a pay dispute with one of your employees, all they have to do is bring in their receipt and you can compare it to the time records you have in HandTrak. Since we "time-stamp" each scan down to the second, it is easy to lookup data by employee, date and time.
Touch Probe System
The Touch Probe system is our most simple data collection solution. It is based on Dallas touch memory buttons and the Videx touch probe . Each Dallas button has a unique serial number, which can be assigned to a "Control Function" like Clock-In, Clock-Out, and Piecework mode . You also link buttons to employees, work locations, jobs, pay rates, etc. One example of collecting data is to touch the clock-in button , work location button, job task button and all the employees (buttons) that are working. For hourly workers, at the end of the day you change the mode by touching the clock-out button, then all the employee buttons, and you have completed the collection of the day's labor costs. You bring the touch probe into the office and by placing it into the download station you retrieve your data. It is placed in the "Daily" work file and you are ready to process your information.
Id Card Printing
DCT will provide you with ID cards for your employee's, you receive 50 with your base package. We design a card layout with your help, putting your logo, address, phone #, etc. on each card. Cards can be printed on both sides. If you want to print your own cards, we recommend the Fargo Persona M10 Printer . It's economical and low maintenance. You can print employee card directly from HandTrak. Control Cards like Enterprise, Job, and Piece code I recommend using Microsoft Publisher.
HandTrak Solo
HandTrak Solo is an additional hardware/software option for "after-the-fact" data collection, which ties into the main HandTrak software package. Solo is a remote site system. Data is sent via e-mail to the main office for processing. It is PC based using a handheld CCD Scanner that is attached to your keyboard. The easiest way to describe it is an automated time card system that is based on bar codes. Your supervisor scans the work location, job task, employee and hours worked . If the next employee worked at the same work location/job task/ hours worked, the supervisor just scans the next employee bar code and then scans "Accept" . He/she can do this for every employee without ever touching the keyboard. Solo contains two reports that can be run by your off-site supervisor for data checking with your workers. Information in Solo is stored for 45 days.
Red Wing Windows Accounting and Payroll Software
As a premier dealer for Red Wing Business Systems, DCT has worked closely with them to integrate the HandTrak product with their Windows Payroll Module. You can purchase Red Wing Accounting by the Suite or per Module . The Core Financial Suite consists of; System Manager, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. The Inventory/Production Mgmt. Suite is made up of; System Manager, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Order Entry, and the Purchase Order Module.
